A few years ago our dad passed away. Being a retired fireman he had touched many lives. He was a warm and friendly man, who had made many friends. The service was held in a large church to accommodate everyone. While it is probable true of most folks who attended, it was an emotional blur for us, his children. Our step-sister gave an incredibly beautiful and moving eulogy. Our dad spent a lot of his free time at a beautiful, ocean-side park known as 'Bug Light' chatting with his buddies. Our stepmother insisted the funeral procession drive our dad by Bug Light one last time. Upon entering the park we were shocked to see cars lined up with folks standing beside their cars saluting our dad. How wonderful it would have been to have all of this captured on tape. As videographers we felt it would be a wonderful service to offer. Yes, it will be emotional for us, but we believe we are up to the task of capturing and preserving this one last tribute to a beloved family member. |
